Capital Campaign Consultant – Request for Proposal
Brock Community Health Centre (Brock CHC), a charitable non-profit health care organization serving the residents of Brock Township and surrounding areas, is seeking proposals from qualified, experienced firms or individuals to develop a capital campaign package and strategy to raise money for the building of a new community primary health care facility in Brock Township (a Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Capital Project with non-cost shared elements).
The consultant will work with members of the Brock CHC Board of Directors, community volunteers and staff to develop a multi-faceted capital campaign and fundraising strategy. The candidate must possess recent experience in capital campaign planning and be familiar with the community of Brock Township and the fundraising environment.

A charitable non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and the Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE LHIN).
Committed to the provision of quality primary health care services, health promotion, education and illness prevention and works collaboratively with community partners to provide a range of health services to the community focusing on the social determinants of health.
Operating out of temporary rental accommodations while the Capital Project develops our permanent home.
The new building, approximately (20,000 sq. ft.) will house most of our services.
MOHLTC Health Capital Investment Branch is funding the majority of the space (10.7 million dollars), with Brock CHC responsible for “own funds” portion of the project (approximately $600,000).
Starting the work July 16, 2018 or sooner, the successful candidate will complete the following by August 31, 2018:
Develop required capital campaign and resource development policies, procedures and processes to ensure organizational readiness for future activities.
Develop a multi-faceted capital campaign and fundraising strategy.
Assist in developing collateral materials, including a case for support, required for general fundraising strategy.
Train Board, staff, volunteers on fundraising best practices and involvement.
Develop the capital campaign tools and implementation plan for the board and volunteers to implement. All materials are to be in both hard and electronic copies.
Develop a plan/strategy for ongoing donor stewardship and donor cultivation.
Develop a plan/strategy for ongoing donor tracking and recognition and capital campaign recognition.
Assist with the revision of existing Brock CHC fundraising policies and procedures and the development of any new recommended and/or required policies and procedures.
Proposal Content and Requirements:
The following should be addressed in your proposal:
Your vision and objectives for the project, as well as your understanding of the work to be undertaken;
Your approach to the project;
The proposed schedule of milestones, activities and duration;
Your expectations of Board, staff and volunteers during each phase of the campaign process;
Your firm’s and your personal experience with similar projects; and
The project lead, i. the individual who will have day-to-day responsibility for the project and his or her relevant qualifications and experience.
This fee proposal must include all costs of planning, facilitating, and report writing plus out-of-pocket incidentals. Proposal Fees shall include a “not to exceed project” amount of $10,000.

Late proposals will not be accepted and will be deleted unread. It is the Consultants’ responsibility to ensure that proposals are submitted on or before the RFP closing date.
